
LIFT SERIES 1: BARBELL SQUATS

About the event
Lift Series is a training program designed to increase your strength in a specific movement every 8 weeks.
Your studio sessions throughout the 8 weeks will focus on improving not only your strength & power in our specific movement, but there'll also be a big focus on your technique so you're performing the movement the best possible way you can.
First we'll nail the fundamentals of the movement, we'll test where your strength is currently at & then follow an 8 week program designed to increase your strength in a safe & supported environment, finishing our 8 week block with a strength retest.
The more you include a movement & its accessory movements (aka movements that support our main lift) in your training program, the more opportunity we have to improve it. Anyone who signs up for the Lift Series, will receive a training program to complete in addition to our studio sessions.
The additional program is not compulsory but again, the more you train, the more improvements you'll see. You can still expect to see improvements within 8 weeks if you train once a week, so please don't stress if additional workouts isn't something you can commit to.
If you train in the studio more than once a week, you can choose how many sessions you'd like to have aligned with the program so that you can still have variety in your training if you wish.
The cost:
$0 + your commitment to the program. This means your workouts may feel basic & you may work up less of a sweat than usual. But rest assured, you'll be pushed to your limits each session so we can see as big an improvement within the program as possible.

Program design:
Week 1 // technique & testing
Weeks 2-4 // accumulation (higher reps, lower weight)
Weeks 5-7 // intensification (lower reps, higher weight)
Week 8 // final testing
I'd love to see you all on the program but there is absolutely no pressure to join in - squats aren't for everyone & our next Series will be a different lift so you can absolutely hang 10 until then!
